What the customer said:

I'm delighted that the sometimes complex design concepts behind Post of the Week have been represented in such a deceptively simple way.

Background
The concept started on a blog site, but soon required it's own website. Anyone can nominate a blog post which is then shortlisted and judged, the results are posted on the site within the week.

Rather than being an 'award' site, Post of the Week's mission is:

1. To highlight great writing on personal blogs.
2. To draw attention to blogs that you might not have heard of before.
3. To point you to one absolute guaranteed humdinger of a blog post, once a week, every week.

Details
The site uses a Wordpress installation, and some custom coding to rotate the posts on the front page. There is only ever two posts there, with the current "Post of the Week" prominently featured. The brief was to keep the site visually simple, whilst providing a relatively complex, multi-author backend system

It was also important to keep things familiar to blog users, the site uses comments to interact with visitors, and provides RSS feeds for all of the categories used for winning posts, shortlists and nominations.

Technologies
WordPress, CSS and PHP coding (PHP coding provided by Ozbon).
