Background
As a successful freelance journalist and author, Zoe wanted a professional portfolio site on which she could list her work. A clean simple and modern design was called for, with the ability to update the details as and when required.
As Zoe was speaking at the 2008 SXSWi festival, the deadline was to have the site up and running by March 1st 2008.
Details
Zoe had a strong idea of what she was looking for, and after a few mockups we struck on a clean layout, with strong colour scheme with a simple column layout.
Organising the website logically, breaking the various parts of Zoe's professional output into manageable chunks was the biggest challenge. As the website is built on WordPress, Zoe can update the website with any new work, events and articles.
The homepage gives an instant indication of the latest events and articles, as well as featuring her most prominent work (to date), her book.
Technologies
WordPress was used, with a some simple PHP coding to achieve the front page 3 columns. A third party script was used to pull the most current blog post from her blog (hosted on Blogger) into the site.
